so here i am blogging on christmas eve. haa. it's an hr and 41 mins to Christmas.

so Happy Christmas to everyone in advance. haa. so here i have a story that i wanna share. it's completely amazing to me.

so here the story goes :

Leong Jr. woke up at around 10 plus in the morning due to sleeping late, he was writing christmas cards till early in the morning. so when he woke up, his mum was talking to his grandmother about when he did during the 5 days that they weren't at home. Leong Jr. was given a chance to live alone for 5 days. his mother was complaining about the 2 days clothes that he left in the toilet soaked and not keeping in the clothes that were left on the bamboo.

soon, they both started quarelling about some personal stuff and Leong Jr. was so fed up and upset. there he sat in his room, reflecting on what he had done. he didn't know what to do then, so he took out his follow-up file and bible from his bag and started flipping through the file. there he came across the follow-up lesson about dealing with sins. and there goes :

1 John 1 : 9 - " If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Leong Jr. knew that the quarell b/w his mum and him was because he sinned. he did something wrong. guilt began to overcome him. he prayed softly, confessing his sins to his Father in Heaven, asking for forgiveness and hope that his parents would also forgive him. he prayed with all his might, in english and in tongues. he knew in his heart that his Father would not forsake him. after praying, he felt that his heart had lightened a lil.

2 hours later he left for church for christmas eve service. although he still had a heavy heart, he managed to keep his spirit in a high and happy mood. basically excited. haa. he didn't want to have that depressed face cause it's christmas eve! after meeting his friends, he suddenly felt that he didn't need to pretend to be happy at all. the happiness came naturally into him.

so service soon started with Praise and Worship. Christmas song was played first followed by rock. he was feeling so happy and light. as in light-hearted. all burden and worries seemed to dropped off his shoulder within seconds. the presense of God was strong.

" Everything's changed, Everything's different
Everything's changed, Everything's different now "
kept ringing in his ears until now. the sermone was about Our Father God.

everything about what pastor said was so true that Leong Jr. somehow knew that God was speaking to him through the pastor. it was a confession of childhood of pastor. and it happened to Leong Jr. as well.

Leong Jr. didn't have a happy childhood. his parents were out at work most of the time and had to be taken care of by a nanny form baby till mid k2. then from there he was brought to his grandmother's care. his parents would beat him up with the cane whenever he did smth wrong in sch and there was once where his mother took a knife and pointed at him right in front of his face. [ this didn't happen to pastor. only for my case it did. ]

from then he told himself that his mother regretted giving birth to him. and at that year he had numerous thoughts about suicide and running away from home. [ this too. ]

he asked himself numerous times when he was young :

" would anybody cry for me if i die?. "
" would anybody be worried if i go missing?. "
" would anybody remember me if i die?. "
" do i mean smth to my parents?. or am i just nth to them?. "
" am i worth something to the people around me?. "

his answers to these questions were answered clearly and straightforward to him today.
Psalms 56 : 8 - " You number my wanderings ; Put my tears into Your bottle ; Are they not in Your book?. "
the answer came to him, he's valuable to God. if everything doesn't seem to be working the way it should be for him, he knows that God cares for him. what ever happens to him matters to God.
after service he hang out in church for quite a while and went for dinner with his fellow CG mates. dinner was at Long John Silver and there were laughter and fun even during eating. everything went so fine and perfect for him as he was enjoying himself. then came a call from his mother who dampened his spirit a lil.
mum : " where are you now?. why so late still not back?. still at church is it?. do you know there's dinner at home?. " [ shouting ]
him : " i'm at the bus-stop waiting for 65 right now. "
mum : " you don't seem to be at the bus-stop "
him : " i bought fries from long john and now waiting for bus. "
mum : " fries?. i told you earlier on got dinner at home right?. you better come home early now. " [ screaming ]
him : " ya larrh. waiting for bus already larrh ! "
* end of conversation *
actually he was still having fun with his friends at long john. there were like more than 10 of us and he didn't want to leave straightaway cause he couldn't bear to leave. so then he stayed on until everyone started moving to leave.
he bidded goodbye to everyone else at the entrance to the underground mrt stn and was accompanied by a couple of friends. but they were heading to jurong east. train was quick. he made them laugh for the last time before he headed home and as he boarded the train, thoughts of what's gonna happen when he got home began to flush into his mind.
but he was kind of tired to think that much. when he finally reached the void deck on his house, he began to worry of how he would get himself out of any situation that he will be put in later. but was too late.
as he stepped into the house, everything was silent. his mum was in the kitchen hanging clothes on the bamboo and she didn't say a single thing. he was totally shocked and suprised. he expected the nagging and scolding to start once he stepped in. but no, it didn't happened. he then got his clothes ready to bathe and as he stepped into the kitchen,
" there's porridge. do you want vegetables?. i'll fry if you want ".
"anything." he replied. he thought to himself : impossible.
throughout the whole night his mother didn't even scold or nag at him a single word.
HIS PRAYERS HAS INDEED BE ANSWERED.
" Everything's changed. my prayer's been answered.
Everything's changed. my mum's not nagging now! "

anyway, happy christmas everyone! =)
