just wanna sat a few things..

it's come to a part where i feel that i should explain smth about myself. i'm the kind of person who doesn't talk during trips to sch and home. specifically saying it will be on buses or trains, on the way home.

so don't get the wrong idea if i dao you and you think that i'm ignoring you or smth. that's me. i can't changed the habit of doing that. so if anyone of you felt offended by it then i apologise.

other things like.. sometimes i flare up easily. like today i was kind of flaring at teng hui cause he was just playing with me. in actual fact, i may flare up but most of the time i'm not angry. it's that nowadays i'm feeling tired. so i might flare up easily.

yeah. so results wasn't that good so far. only for my d&t. 36 1/2 upon 50. i'm still waiting for my 3 1/2 marks. that new teacher mr tan didn't mark one of my qn. most d&t students might know who he is. he's that guy who has been rated 2 stars for his strictness and it was shown on the plasma tv. haa. everyone who saw that was laughing at him.

d&t's fun now. especially now that i've heard quite a lot of stories about this new teacher. he's actually quite nice. think that he's trying to adapt to tk's environment. so here's what i heard about him :

1. he believes in ghost and is afraid of it.

2. someone actually told him stories that the buffering machine inside the technical workshop is haunted. it spins on its own without any power supply. so after knwing that, he doesn't dare to be alone inside the workshop.

3.he believes that man evolved from apes.

4. he and miss seah can't get along well.

i can prove pt 4 that it's true. take today for an example. miss seah was going through the paper. and it was actually marked by mr tan. so during the process of going through, there were quite alot of mistakes either made in the marking or calculation. i'm not really sure about that cause i'm sitting at the back and most people were arguing for their marks.

it came to a pt when i realise that one qn of mine wasn't marked. which would actually give me 3 1/2 marks more. so i went forward to miss seah to get what i deserved. so after checking my paper, instead of giving me my 3 1/2 marks, she circled my name on the name list and said that she'll check with mr tan.

i was like =.=???

i mean, you're the teacher and of course you have the authority to give me the marks. and before that mr tan was actually in the coe. he walked past miss seah, without saying anything, not even a " hi. "

another pt would be that the miscommunication of the definetions of the words that we needed to know for the common test.

let me show you an example and compare the difference in ans. between mr tan and miss seah.

Facing - it is causing the tool to move at right angles to the axis of the lathe therefore / thereby producing a flat surface. / the process of cutting the end of a bar by moving the tool perpendicularly to the axis of rotation. [ miss seah's ans. ]

Facing - to make the end flat and perpendicular to the axis [ mr tan ]

you see the difference between the two ans?.
another example :

Tapering - is to cut a taper ( conical surface ) by moving the cutting tool at an angle of its axis of rotation [ miss seah ]

Tapering - to create a conical surface [ mr tan ]

there's actually an explaination for this. if you were to compare, you can see the trend that mr tan's ans is easy to rmb and quite short, compared to miss seah ans. but know why the reason he did this?. because he thinks that at our level we should only be learning that. contradictingly, miss seah wants us to learn her way of ans. cause that's the O level way of ans.

so most of us were quite baffled on which one to rmb. but for me i went to learn miss seah's way. what happen if when O level they ask what's the meaning of tapering?. if i write mr tan's way i would probably get 1 out of 3.

so can see from the above evidence that miss seah and mr tan somehow can't get along. both are d&t teachers. mr tan has 8 years experience while miss seah has 3. one is young and the other is not so young.

see what happens when you get 2 adults of 2 different generations together?. they can work together, but can't work with each other.
