Tea to drink

This is just a little update. Examinations are coming.

Are you drinking the right tea?

1. People who use their "brain" to work or students who study hard day and night.--- should drink more chrysanthemum Tea.

2. People who need a lot of body energy to work or those people that do a lot of exercise everyday.--- should drink Wu Loong Tea.

3. People who travel on a bike or work in dirty and polluted places.--- should drink Green Tea.

4. For people who likes to sit down all day long and not doing anything even exercising--- must drink Green Tea and Flower Tea.

5. People who smoke and drink alot of alcoholic drinks. --- should drink more Green Tea.

6. Carnnivore ( those people who must eat meat at least once a day, or feel sick or notfeeling well.--- try to drink some Wu Loong Tea.

7. People who go to the washroom too often or too less. --- should drink more Honey Tea

8. People with high cholesterol and high blood pressure.--- Wu Loong Tea,Green Tea.

9. Those who work with computers everyday.--- need to drink a Lot of Tea (any tea wil do). Whenever you are working with the computer, you should make some tea, drink it when you are free.

Drinking Tea is healthy, it can protect and prevent the harmful Ultraviolet light from harming us (when using computer). Furthermore, it can also cure us when we are tired and help making our body feel fresh again

Yeah, that's the e-mail which My cousin sent me. I don't know how true is it but from my experience, yeah, it should be true bah.

Grad night took place last night for the Sec 4s this year and it seemed fun. However, one thing you would only get to see there is how teachers would doll up for the event. I managed to get hold of a picture of Mrs Chee, and I don't know what to say.

I mean, I don't know how to describe.

You'll nvr see Mrs Chee like this before :

Suprised?

Oh, woe is the man

Just a minor little update before I start off my homework. It's really interesting, I have a pile of homework, preventing me from studying. I would have spent all my time completing them instead of studying!

What's with the homework?!

Anyway, I spotted this little section on the Newpaper and wanna share with you guys. It's really true, reflecting on Men's life.

When we are born, our mothers get the compliments.
When we are married, our brides get the spotlight and admiration.
When we die, our widoes get the life insurance.

The average's man's life consists of 20 years of his mother asking where is he going, 40 years of his wife asking the same question, and in the end, the mourners wondering too.

In the 21st Century:
Our communication - wireless
Our telephone - cordless
Our cars - topless
Our labour - effortless
Our workers - jobless
Our boss - brainless
Our job - thankless
Our conduct - worthless
Our relations - loveless
Our attitude - careless
Our follies - countless
Our arguments - baseless

Ha, I just hope that my mum would not ask me where I'm going for the next 5 years. At least I get to be away from home 3 - 4 years later. I will only have to answer sergeants or corporals then.

I'm back!

So here I am, back from OBS.

This is gonna be a very short post cause I'm still adjusting and adapting to civilisation after 5 days in Pulau Ubin.

Great camp with great people and wonderful instructors, what more can I say? =)

Little by little,
One walks far.

How meaningful this verse is.

I will miss everybody from Armstrong.

I will miss the jokes which everyone contributed, with funny people like Fareez, Jordan and Abdillah.

I will miss the nights which I would sleep in the tent with 3 other people, Lenny, Keng Chong and Tah Jian.

I will miss the intructors. My instructor Chu Ai, who's strict but nice. Jonathan, who would joke with everyone in the camp, tell both dumb and nice stories. I will miss his Hong Kong accent and the night when he went around my tent area and shouted :

Turn off your torchlight now! Go back to your tents! You want to test my patience is it?

That would be the very night where half of Armstrong were at the bridge of the jetty, enjoying the breeze and chatted for a while.

I will miss times we spent on the kayak, pushing each other on and the bonding that we had during the land expedition. I will miss the bags that we carry for the expedition, I carried a 15++kg bag.

I will miss the last night that we had together, cooking 3 pots of maggi mee, and ended up eating 2 and a leftover of 1. Mixture of mee and luncheon meat, may it be sliced or diced, it was the sweetest and best dinner I ever had.

I will miss my nickname which everyone called me : Hair. They called me that due to my gone wrong haircut and I looked weird in the photo. No hair at the side just a patch of hair at the top, like carpet grass. What a gross way for people to remember me.

I will miss all the funny incidents. One of them took place at the Headman's house. A parrot went " Ling-A-Ling-A-Ling " cause Fareez was making fun of Xin Ling right in front of the parrot. From then on, we called her Ling-A-Ling-A-Ling.

For all OBS Armstrong people, I will remember you all always..

ARMSTRONG FOREVER!

You Know..

Just a lil minor update.

That's the link for the software which I downloaded, the convertor which I used for the Physics Show and Tell.

If the page doesn't show, then you can go to Download.com and search for Super+fever. You should be able to identify the convertor, that's if only you know how to.

Use it well. =)

Get it from CNET Download.com!

Rantings

It just feel so different to go back to school during the holidays. It's an irony, but now everyone should be rushing to finish the homework give, while others would be playing to their heart's content and do last minute work during the weekends. One thing I'm sure is that everyone would do their CHEM hmw. Everyone's afraid of Tan Kee Hoe.

Had extra lessons from 1 - 4.30. Physics was first, two hours and during the lesson, part of it was interupted by Amirul, complimenting Miss Goh's butt. I'll say it here since he has already said it on his. Yeah, trying to silence Cherie so that Miss Goh won't know anything. And thanks Cherie for that note, it really did cheer me up. Haha. I'm so screwed for Physics, cause I didn't understand the whole thing fully. For those non-obs people, physics now has incooperated more maths. Parallelogram.

Suppose to end at 5 which supposingly SS lesson, Mrs Tan wasn't there so the Elective students had their time to the coms in the MRL while the pure Geog students had their lesson with Lena Poh. I was chatting away on MSN Web Messenger, with people like Terence who's beside me. I know, it's kind of lame chatting with someone just beside you, but we did it anyway. I did like one question of the SS, and the power was cut off from the mains to my com.

Know why? Cause the extension was some budget one. All you have to do is to slighty give it a touch and Voala, it turns off. Really darn budget, even making one from the D&T workshop can be better than that.

Left for church with Jenn, and I really want to emphasise on something which really bothers me. I'm stating the absolute truth and no, I'm not lying. I don't get sweets, chocolate or money for doing so.

I DON'T WEAR EYELINER.

Seriously, I'm not angry but I have to clear this up or else more people will assume so. Jenn wasn't the first one. Haha. Rachel was the first one to say I do, but really, I don't. I'm not those guys who really care a lot about their appearance until having the need to resort to eyeliners. It just grew from my eye lid, there's nth much I can do.

Managed to play a couple games of pool, which would be quite lucky for me cause the pool table would always be filled with people on the other days, especially weekends. Skills turned rusty, on and off.

This is now the part which is much more interesting.

If you have noticed by now, those police officers who patrol the MRT Stations, seem to have been demoted or smth. I'm not sure for those on duty in other stations, but those in Douby Ghaut.. They are now carrying pistols instead of the MP5navy they used to carry.

And no, their pistols are not Glocks or the USPs that you use in Counter-Strike, it's those lousy kind where there are only 6 bullets in the barrel and when you reload, most likely you have to put in the bullet one by one. Know those kind which those police officers in the Police Neighbourhood Post carry? Yes, those.

Seriously got me thinking. They got no money buy to buy weapons or what?

I'm not sure how their system works, but I've come up with my own, assumption.

Okay, so the system goes like this : There are rankings/levels for these police officers. No.1 means the best and the last one means the worst.

1. Police officers who carry assualt rifles : M16 [ you don't see the police using AK. ]
2. Police officers who carry sub-machine guns : MP5navy
3. Police officers who carry shot guns
4. Police officers who carry pistols
5. Security guards who are armed with pepper spray. They don't need 10 cents or phone card cause the public phones are programmed in a way that emergency numbers can be called for free.

Yeah, so imagine those who carry pistols. They would be like depressed everyday, hoping not to become those security guards. Picture a conversation...

Wah, sian. Look at us now, only have 6 bullets to protect our own lives when on guard duty..

Yah lah, last time we used to have glocks with 20 bullets per magajine, then downgrade to USP with 12 bullets per magajine. See lah, so budget until now left 6. That gun must manual one by one put in somemore, like that confirm kena shot when reloading. SIANzZzZ.
Yeah, that would be part of the conversation between one officer and the other. Is the system really like that or it's that they really don't have the money to get more weapons? This reminds me that guys my year would be serving in the army about 3-4 years time. Why 3 - 4? Cause some of you might go in a lil later because of studies.

I had the chance to stumble upon a video on Youtube, uploaded by a Singaporean, a movie screened here in 1996, titled : Army Daze.

It's a quite nice movie which i downloaded all the parts and had them stored in my com. If you are looking for a convertor, you can approach me and I'll send it to you. It really comes in handy when you have online video streaming website like Youtube and you wanna keep them for whatever purposes.

Going back to the topic, it depicts army life and one part which showed a man in his 50s trying to earn money by cheating innocent guys to buy a book : 101 ways to TUANG in the Army.

Tuang means : to slack or skive.

And you have like uneducated Ah Bengs during that generation and on the first day, the Corporal told him to drop 10, he took out 10 cents from his pocket and threw it on the floor. Quite a funny show.

How do normally instructors tend to insult you?
Ans : By saying that their grandmothers can do better than you.

Then what would be our ans.?
Ans : Then ask your grandmother do lah.

Some girls would think that army life would be filled with disgusting things, living in the jungle, no change of underwear for days. Eat snakes in the wild, literally living like Tarzan. However, guys, army life is cool, ain't it?!

Lift your staff

Reply to tags:
FAFA - Yeah, that's Andrew. You should know him well since he was in band also.
JingHan - Yo sister!. Haha.
Cherie - Great to hear that you're fine! =)

So here I am, back from a very long day at my spiritual home. I thought that that night which I left church at 8.30 was great cause that was the latest I ever stayed there. I broke through today and I clocked into my own record book :

11 and a half hours in church. What'smore, I was ushering for all 3 services! WHHHEEE! Got a little lecture from my mum, but who cares?! My life has never been this great before. If not because of her, I would have stayed in church at least till 11 and I would have broke through 12 hours. Ahhh, wasted.

Anyway, Pastor Joakim was ( is I mean, there's still 2 more sessions with him tmr ) great! Testimonies of how New Generation youths grew from just one person in each group who caught the fire and brought a revival in their own school. Talking about the examples, I have a great one for you.

The sinking of the Empress of Ireland. [ For more info :
Info ]

To cut the whole thing short, it's basically a ship collided with the Empress of Ireland, resulting in a death toll of more than 1,000 people. It sank within 14 minutes, which is almost quite impossible for all of the passengers to evacuate, considering that technology wasn't that advanced yet so there was no such thing as calling for immediate help when it happened. Some of them managed to survive and those were the lucky ones.

Survivors then lived to tell the story, weeks after they were rescued from the cold, icy water ( It took quite a long time for them to be saved cause like I said, there was no such thing as immediate help then ). After that, they lived to tell the story, what happened throughout the whole thing, and investigators found something in common, from the statement that the survivors gave about what happened.

This was it : A man in his late-30s told the investigator that he managed to survive, thanks to a teenage girl, who was then wearing a life-vest, struggling with the current to get closer to him so that she could pass him her life-vest. He was reluctant at first, throwing the life-vest back to the girl, in his mind thinking that he did not deserve to be saved as the teenage girl was around 18, estimated, and she deserved to live on. That teenage girl got furious and threw the life-vest back to the man and said, " I'll die better than you ".

It was similar for almost all cases, involving teenagers giving up their life-vest to other people and they themselves did not survive. It was then traced and found out that thise group of teenagers, were actually from the Salvation Army and there were 120 of them in that ship, heading to London. They were the ones who gave up their own lives for others.

Back then, Founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth, would then send out telegrams of the sort of like, theme of the year to the Salvation Army throughout the world. However, when the disaster of the collision happened, William Booth had already passed away and his last telegram was just one word..

Others.

I just love this word. Christianity is simple ; Love God, Love others.

Other examples like Martin Luther King, a great man of God who went all out to do what is righteous, fighting for civil-rights and against racial discrimination.

It's time I lift up my staff.
