Art

Cherries on the tree. Would you take notice of a particular bunch or the whole tree instead? How interesting nature can be, and can be depicted in a painting so naturally?

You are the one,
the one that lies so close to me,
whispers "Hello, I miss you quite desperately".

I fell in love,
in love with you suddenly.
There's no place else I would be,
but only in your arms.

-Lynette

Lynette's a very artistic person, always love to decorate my stuff and her drawings of flowers are so realistic that if natural colours are added on, the drawings would seem alive.

I suddenly found refuge these few days, in drawing and writing notes. Guess there's this change in me going on now, but interestingly, I'm drawing Flintstones cars, the car with the two big logs, one at the front and the other at the back. Haha.

Looks great ain't it? Haha. I purposely blurred the image so that no one can read it even if you zoom into it. There are a few words still recognisable but I don't think you're that free to actually go decipher what the whole note is about.

Going to the Parliament House tomorrow, where no audio devices and handphones with cameras are allowed. That means no MP3 player, no smsing during the session as well as no pictures. Why are they so afraid? Even photographers from the Press are allowed to take pictures, why can't students have the same privilege?

A Turn

A cup of tea and a book to read. Looks like western culture. Budget one though, people will do that in Coffee Bean, Starbucks.. I do that at home, in my study room.

I'm not hooked on to a book titled: Driven by Eternity.

Christians should read this book. You will grow to another level of understanding of Christianity. You will be inspired to serve God. You will be on fire after reading it. 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion.

I had a rough week and yeah, thanks to the people out there who cheered me up and so on.

I rather not talk about it; One lousy thing led to another lousy one, pulled my mood down and I ended up feeling lousy.

"Sadness and Roderick don't go together", From Amalina.

Feeling down sometimes do help actually. Sometimes all you need is people to kick you in the head, and everything seems clear to you suddenly. Sometimes, all you need is people to push you from behind, propel you and kick you forward, that's when you're back on track.

P.S: Thanks to my beloved twin and Kawaii Lynette for your notes!

I'm a cow

Thanks guys for the great outing today. Haha. First time of the year which I really enjoyed myself ever since the school started.

I didn't expect the Eve of the Eve of the Chinese New Year to be such a blast. Great way to start of the festive mood of going for visits, getting 红包 (Ang Bao) and clearing your homework.
* We didn't manage to get the worksheets which Mrs Tan actually printed and wanted us to do. Wheee.

I'll just post some pictures taken during the outing but I'm not going to post all. Certain people are sensitive to their pictures being posted on the internet and I don't know if any one of you actually mind me doing so, so I rather not do it.

I was given a new name: Cow.

Look at that bowl of noodles, very tempting and makes you go hungry right? I always call for that whenever I'm there, you should know where this place is. It's so distinctive that I'm sure you won't be able to answer it wrongly.

Sometimes you know those celery or whatever you call it, and they're chopped into small pieces and then served in like soup or with chicken rice to add flavor to it? I've made a very huge discovery today that in a group of 5 girls, all of them don't like that at all, which gives a huge percentage of 100%.

Who agrees with me that it's nice? I mean, it's nice right? And all of them actually gave me their share and I had a bowl full of that.

I was also condemned for the amount of pepper I put into my noodles. I was enjoying myself so much that I couldn't remember who said this statement, " I can't take pepper but I can take chili. " Haha. The amount of pepper that I put made my voice course for a little while. Sometimes, soup without pepper tastes like plain water.

Okay, that's Crystal Jade. How about Auntie Anne's?

Look at that. Look at that!

This was taken when the branch at Suntec City, the one at the Fountain of Wealth, had just opened for the day. They have a template at the table which they can follow so that the pretzels look like what they're supposed to look like. Haha. Imagine an out-of-shape one.

I'm crazy over Auntie Anne's and all thanks to Jennifer. =)

Cinnamon Sugar Forever!

Suntec's a great place to walk. Vivocity is an alternative cause most of the time, you don't have the luxury of time to walk the whole thing. Suntec has this great place called Toys "R" Us and there's something about them which gets me puzzled.

You have to leave your back at the counter being you're allowed to enter? Listen to this, it only apply to STUDENTS. All the other adults could carry all their barang barang in and yet we have to leave them at the counter. Guess they're probably afraid we're there to steal stuff and they're budget's too low that they can't afford CCTV cameras.

Solution: Go in by the exit, where the cashiers are. You're safe from the evil lady at the entrance.

Don't the soft toy dogs look cute? I so like this picture, it came out great after a process of Photoshopping. What a great program created. I salute Adobe.

Your Eyes. I see everything, I know everything.

It's actually a great thing to know that at the age of 16, you're still able to fit into those cars which require $1 and it starts moving back and forth, up and down while a song plays? What a great achievement today!

I'm a police in a mini-car who's trying his best to drive properly due to the space constraint and I have a criminal on the top of my car.

To end my post, I visited a great friend of mine today. I then had a flashback of how I was like in the past and seriously, things have changed a lot. Grad night, forget about it.

[Update]: I have e-mailed you guys the pictures already! Check your e-mails! :)

Day of Love

Valentine's Day will come to an end in about 10 mins time.

What a great day today with the weather as an exception, which melted my Merci chocolates that I had put under my table. I can't believe it, I took it out of the fridge before leaving for school in the morning and it melted during the day.

My day started off with my table packed with sweets and chocolate and there was something in particular which has become one of the highlights of today.

With no notes attached to it, I was fascinated by it and that's why I took a picture of it. My mind couldn't see to get off this brownie, not that I was hungry, more of who gave it to me.

Recess came and I had a revelation; Cherie Almighty baked this for me. Haha. I'm so gonna get her to bake my wedding cake if possible.

You know what, Valentine's Day is a great day to mark out and identify people who can bake really well, and once they're identified, pester them for food or get them to bake for you on special occasions like your birthday.

To all bakers, stock your house with flow, sugar, eggs and whatever that you need. I don't really bake so I unfamiliar with things that have to do with it.

People give flowers; people give notes; people give chocolates on this great day. You can also identify one more group of people.

People who draw.

D&T is the best subject and place where you can find the most creative and skilled artists in the school. Even Art Club is no match of ours. Let me show you what this macho man has drawn:

What great art. Don't you think so? How about having a mutated Pikachu for Valentine's Day? Will a pot-bellied one work for you? Don't be choosy.

The follow-up of The Epic Movie. After Superman got shot in the eye, he couldn't see what he was eating and got overweight in the end. What a great twist to the ending of the story.

Thanks for the letters/notes. I couldn't resist reading them once I got into my hands. Reading them over and over again, I teared. I have realised how much our friendship has flourished and grown so far. Although the content might seem relevant only for that particular period of time, to me it's relevant everyday, every single day of my life.

Studies has been enlarging that gap between us and I admit that I yearn for the past. " How can I enjoy when you're away", so true. So true.

" n seriously i dun think i can ever forget u "..

Neither can I.

Benefits of CNY

Haha. Another of my diary went under the power of art.

Chinese New Year is next week and I guess many families would have started stocking their houses with New Year snacks, drinks and so on.

My family wanted to do something different. My mother fried stuff. Dangerous stuff.

I'm go gonna have a course voice and a sore throat after Chinese New Year. Everyone so gonna eat like there's no tomorrow. Everyone's going to unleash the ugly side of themselves, the "never-eat-for-a-month" side of themselves.

Every Chinese New Year, refrain from gorging yourself. There is always next year to eat again, so relax my friend.

You're gonna drink, drink and drink and drink. Can after can, cup after cup. Oh yes, I'm sure you're going to do so.

Short post for today.

Hit, but not fallen

Looks like as guys grow older, the things that we talk about changes, and everyone has been revolving around the topic of Valentine's Day and Prom Night recently.

Want to know who's giving who presents on V.Day? Here's a suggestion: Go to school early!
- I did not come up with this. I was told of this idea.

Guys would be discussing who's dating who on Prom Night, who's gonna dance with who, that kind of thing. Yeah, had a couple of laughs here and there. Don't want to put names up here, that would be so mean of me, right? I'm trying my best to be as guai as possible. Haha

Guys who don't have a date that night will date other guys and dance with them, so at least they won't feel left out or having to sit at the tables and stone while the others dance. Haha. Sometimes, or should I say most of the time, guys are the victims. Very sad.

On the other note, I've got my haircut. FINALLY.

I just love that glass behind me. I would so love to have those kind of decorations in my own house in the future. Glass is a very flexible material, as in it can be made into different types under the category of decoration.

That's taken in Crystal Jade at Suntec City and this photo is fresh from the camera about 3 hours after my hair-cut.

My so-called artistic shot. I've just realised that is doesn't mean anything and until now I still do not know why I called that artistic. Perhaps I was too high until my judgment skills failed me.

Went out with XX and Si Hui and I realised that Si Hui has this fate to keep meeting Mr Tchen. She has already seen him two times, two days in a row. Take note: Mr Tchen is with his baby on both occasions.

It seems so difficult for us to have that chance to see him, worse than the chances of winning a lottery.

* XX: You can really eat a lot. I actually felt full after a bowl of noodles and she still felt hungry after hers. I'm really losing out to girls. This is so not suppose to happen. Haha. Don't worry, I won't post those pictures up. I'm not that bad you know.

Parental objection: 2 Corinthians 4:9

Persecuted, but not forsaken; Struck down, but not destroyed.

My love for God will never falter.

Love

I swear to love CHEMISTRY with all my heart from now onwards. Haha

I keep having surprises, thanks to my twin who spices up my life. Haha. With all her drawings and all, my life will never be that boring, filled with simple shapes like squares and triangles ever again. Haha.

The power of art.

Valentine's Day is next Wednesday, and wow, people in class have already started to question and wonder who would be dating who.

Chocolate, Sweet Valentine

I tell you mine. I'm dating a teacher and her name is Miss Seah. No candlelight dinner, no chocolates, no walk down the beach. It comes with a package; It's just a simple folio, pencils and colour pens. Skip the appetizer for the meal, go straight to the main course: Scolding.

Ain't 2007's Valentine's Day great for me?

Ohyah, the venue's in school. Give it a bigger WOW. Haha.

Congratulations to all HMT students who got back their results. Most of them did very well. Faizzah, Jing Han, Si Hui, Hwee San, all scored A1s. Congratulations once again!

Next on the list of happenings, Geography Elective in school on a SATURDAY morning at 7.30.

Don't you just love Sec 4 life? Come on, don't lie! I know you love it. [ At this point, I just want to say that it's a sarcastic remark. ]

Revealed

Lord, I thank you for showing my destiny today.

As I open up my heart and let You fill it up fully, begin to reveal more of Yourself to me, that I may know you more and understand you more.

Lord, I pray, that they Holy Spirit will begin to guide me in different areas of my life and into things that I don't know.

I can only outdo my strength, only when Your Spirit is inside me.

Spirituality

I know that with God's power and strength in my life, I will begin to grow, accelerate and soar like never before.

As I begin to step into my destiny, I'm doing it for God. I give all glory to God.

I can't do without You.

Press On

Teachers nowadays really think too much and suspect too much. Haha

Just by talking inside the classroom actually caught the teacher's attention and she would then become curious. What's after curiosity? ASKING.

Haha. Jing Han, sorry if you have to answer her. Haha. Ah Noi is a funny teacher, and she knows what to look out for as well. Haha.

So hardworking right? I really cannot tahan all the way to the third period of maths and I gave up. That's why I really hate Fridays. I have 3 periods of A & E Maths in a row. I wonder if I can go through that every week till the end of Os.

One more thing, I have found a competitor whom I always lose to. I'm not happy about that. Haha.

I'm famous for my deadly stare. Yet now, I got beaten by this female, this lady, by the name of Xiao Xuan, dubbed Xiao Xu or Xuan Xuan. Haha.

The dark beast in me gets softened by her smile. This should not be the way.

That's Yong Jie playing with my Wenger Army Knife. People often ask me why do I bring that to school, and my reply is, so that I have something to play with when I'm bored.

I have this habit that my left hand must hold on to something or manipulate it (D&T) otherwise I will feel very uneasy. I have feel that my hands are being restricted.

It's a great tool anyway. I need not bring a big scissors, a screwdriver, a wine-opener, a glass bottle opener, a knife, all these things to school. It's an All-in-one. Praise D&T and innovation. Praise Design and Engineering. Praise me in a year's time. Haha.

Bus tour today's great. Catholic High is so huge! They have this full field, full basketball court, a big assembly area and a long flight of stairs that leads to the school building. And all these is only like half of the school. St. Andrews Junior College is big too! They have this bridge that links the two sites together.

I'm still going Poly anyway. Singapore Poly and Temasek Poly is big too. That's a real comfort. Haha.

The bus was passing by these huge and nice houses and I can't resist the temptation to snap a picture of it. It's looks so modern, with the huge glass windows and the brown and baige colour makes it stand-out.

This kind of houses are mostly owned by rich people, and their electricity bill can easily hit $1000 or more if I'm not wrong. I have friends who live in this kind of houses and their electricity bill is more than $2000. That's like almost what a new graduate out in the workforce earns.

Imagine every morning you wake up and you walk out into the balcony and breathe in fresh morning air. You walk down the flight of stairs, (That's the problem of houses like this. You have to make sure you're wide awake before coming down. Why trouble yourself? Stay in HDB lah.)

You eat your breakfast, get changed and then leave for school. As you walk out of the door, you're like entering a garden, full of flowers and the scent just floats into your nose. (You can't think properly after sometime cause in the night when you sleep, you're deprived of the oxygen that you need. Why suffer? Stay in HDB lah. Put the flowers and pots outside your house. No one will steal it anyway.)

Best part: you gate slides open, activated by a remote control. You then realise that your gate somewhat seems short. And anybody can just climb over, using a ladder. [Refer to the picture above]

A stunt man doesn't even need a ladder to climb on. Why get yourself into trouble?

Stay in HDB lah.

Doodlings

What a drama at the stadium last night. What a drama. An awful display of sportsmanship at the Singapore National Stadium. A display of childishness.

All because of a penalty.

I'm sure all the Thais back in Thailand were like watching live, and then they were cursing right in front of the television. Gangsters would crush their beer cans with their hands to show their frustration.

What were the Singapore players thinking in their minds?

" Wahh. Like that go their homeland sure get whacked. Don't know whether can come out alive or not. "

I will be seriously interested to see if there would be any protest or violent outbreaks over there when the Singapore team plays in Thailand.

They ought to bring bodyguards along as well as buy more insurance. You'll never know what's going to happen.

7 tests in total for next week. The mode is 2. The median is 1.4

There are things under my desk to keep me cheerful and smile everyday.

Every time I come back from English lesson, I would find something new, something different, something special.

I would find things like this:

Come and meet my future wife. She'll look like this. Bright and stands-out from the rest, like a sunflower. Haha.

Other than that, Yong Jie and me have been playing the " Staring game " and many people were victims of this vicious game. The victims are in danger of fear, but every single time, instead of screaming, they end up laughing.

This shouldn't be the way how the game is played, but I've got an achievement. Quoted from Sarah, " You have a deadly stare ". I've achieved my objective. Haha.

There is one thing that I didn't realise about myself until recently..

This might seem unfair to other people, but still, I have to disclose the truth..
...
...
...
...
...
...

I have flat feet. Which means I need not do NS!

No lah, that would be true if I was born in China. That actually means that I can wear sports shoes to school.

All I need now is a medical certificate.
