Point taken

I've just realised that I haven't been updating for more than a week. A lot's been happening for the past 1 week, and I'll start my post with pictures.

Alright, that's me and Jen. Ha

My first time seeing my former leader playing the sax.

That's the gay me in class. I was told to have bear paws.

This picture was taken during Mrs Tan Tsui Fang's lesson and on that very same day, 3C people should know, Yong G's group had their presentation. So he was trying to figure a way to entertain we, the audience, so he came up with an idea of getting his hair clipped, with the help of the hairstylists sitting around us. [ They pin up their hair everyday, so years of experience were taken in consideration. They are professionals. ]

This is what you have.

Yeah, today's Teachers' Day, didn't snap any pics cause I didn't bring my camera along. I managed to catch the movie, The Devil Wears Prada.

Great movie with a hot lead actress. Found it quite realistic, the storyline was basically a woman, having to decide between a career she always dreamed of and getting that, it has its own consequences. Really a great movie.

Stuff happened today and I got to know some stuff. I won't put it in a direct way, but there are some things that I really have to say. I should have left it as it was.

________________________________________________________________________

People change, and we weren't there to see they changed and got to know the present, them. Things happened in the past and, yeah, if they treat you this way, I don't think you should be affected by it.

You are treasured and valued for who you are, and you have all of us here by your side whenever you need us. 24/7, just give us a ring and we'll be there for you. I'm really fortunate, glad and thankful for being able to know you. If not for you, I wouldn't be who I am now, I would be some gangster, my life would be in a mess and who-knows-what-else.

It had nothing to do with you, they didn't know how to appreciated you. It's their loss.

Some people's actions might make you feel insignificant, but hey, think about it, you've done many great things and the best of all for me, you shaped the path of my life during the early years.

Thank you for everything that you've done in my life, people might make you feel insignificant, but.. You're special in other people's life. You're special in mine.

Stay cheerful always. =)

Signing off,
roddy.

Shoe Bag

He has given a new meaning to goodies that were given out during the NDP 2006. A shoe bag, see how creative our church people are?

Just like how Mr Brown turned PM Lee Hsien Long's speech into a song. Singaporeans are creative, a proven fact.

Making a stand

Wednesday would just be a slacking day. Well, not really, cause there aren't many different subject lessons but most were of 2 periods, so everyone would go : SIAN...

Results are coming back to me one after another. I still really pissed with my CL teacher as she still refused to give me back my paper although I've already done my part as a student, handing in my file as she wanted me to. Even so, I still don't get back what she has promised to return to me.

Sometimes, we all will just feel bored in the lab and yeah, improvement in technology, we tend to whip out our phones from our pocket and take a couple of shots. Refer to Leon's blog to have a preview of what I mean. Sometimes really boring, but can't help it lah. What to do.. I don't have a teacher as interesting as Mr Tan Kee Hoe. However, one good thing.. Well, not really good, would be bad actually. He's strict so his students will tend to have more self-discipline than others.

I'm actually going through a process of recovering, so I took this in the lab :

I have owned Chemistry!

Although it's a tripod stand, well, at least it's still symbolises Chemistry. I will stomp on Chemistry until it goes flat!

Yeah, then came IPW, which I always look forward to the most all the time. D&T is like the greatest subject that you'll nvr regret taking, although there might be a lot to study. But it's fun cause it's 3C. Ha. We are like the most happening bunch of students. Yah, I'm not kidding.

Yong Jie was caught sleeping!

I just love the COE, especially this part of the room where the shelves of books and there's these two bean bags look alike. Most of the time when we are there, it's locked. However, today was an exception cause Mr Choo was there cleaning up the COE and he didn't lock it when we arrived. And if yo managed to get in somehow, don't be deceived by the looks of those two red and white bean bags. They look innocent and soft. Actually, they're very TOUGH!

COE.. Centre Of Excellence.. So most people would be expecting cool designs of the room. So my attention was caught by this hanging balls from the Ceiling.

They just look so cool.

Yeah.. So I had a talk and, yeah, Gabriel, I won't allow what's happening to destroy my life.

Everyone would have just got back our results and some of us might or might not be affected greatly by it.. Whatever you're feeling right now, I recommend you a solution to your pain or sadness. Let me just put an end to it for you. =)

Funniest Home Video!

Yeah, if you're interested please contact me and do support me, but I'm not sure if my video is actually being submitted. Ha.

Mai Hum..

Don't know what's wrong with me today, but thanks to all the people out there who expressed concern. I'm fine now, but unstable.

It's just that a lot has been happening recently, giving me the sense of uncertainty of what's going to happen. We shall see in the coming weeks, but if something goes wrong.. I don't have to say cause my blog would not be updated for the following years then.

I take things one at a time, things come but they just nvr leave. Frustrating ain't it? I won't let them destroy my life.

Putting that aside..

Mr Brown's Podcast :
Mai Hum

I actually downloaded the National Day Rally 2006, the whole version as well as those divided into parts. It's not that I wanted to listen to it so much. Mrs Tan Tsui Fang said that it would be good for social studies as next year's syllabus would be on Singapore. So she encouraged us to listen and being a good boy, I did. It was a breeze though, downloading the whole version within 50 secs, all thanks to my broadband speed. Starhub is still the best.

So Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long began talking about the digital age, saying that Singaporeans are now more connected to the IT world, and also the ongoing project called the Infocom ( smth like that ), where in every Singapore home, each family would own at least one computer. If they don't, they get discounts or whatever it is to have one.

Talking about the uproar of Mr Brown's podcast, with the famous " Bah Chor Mee " episode, making fun of Gomez. So PM Lee took that very seriously. And then he fought back, saying " I would call for Mee Siam, Mai Hum "

Then came this podcast from Mr Brown, the most recent one, combining PM Lee's " Mai Hum " with Black Eyed Peas " My Hump ".

Singapore has people full of talents, just that most of the talents are used in serious ways. In that case, talents would no longer be talents. It would be a career.

Yeah, Singaporeans have proved themselves being more creative that other people world wide. Freedom of speech I would say. Not really, if you were to think about it carefully. Gahmen responded on a serious note, Mr Brown's column got suspended ; Sometimes what the Gahmen says at first, would be a contradiction with what they would say during the second.

Putting that aside too..

I would be releasing a story of a young men with his ups and downs in his life. It wouldn't be a " very correct story " cause it's from a Singaporean and we don't use British, top-standard english. So every now and then, or should I say at least 90% of the story, it's Singaporean. Or in other words, it's in the Singaversion or Singrishy story. I won't use any vivid verbs or whatever nonsence from the Langlit thing, it would be a story being made up for a purpose.

Having a story that way would really reflect on the life that the young men went through. Thoughts, feelings and emotions ; All true.

So stay tuned for the story.

Saturday Soul Fever

Yeah, so here I am, back from SSF.

At press time, I'm not aware of the results of how Djie Djie (GG) fared in the CS Challenge. But they really did well in the first match. Leon and Biondi were like trigger-happy. Ha.

Update : Melson team emerged champion for the SSF CS Challenge, team-mates comprising of Leon, Biondi Chang Sheng and Shi Xiang. They have done C5 proud!

I didn't join cause, don't know why, didn't feel like playing.

Got other details involving Chang Sheng and so on, I'm not going to say. Ha. However, it was well funny though. He made a sacrifice, which was cool. Ha.

I just hate it when mums start their nagging. It's like only around 33 hours after I completed my last paper and she's already nagging at me saying that I'm spending too much time outside. Before exam make noise, after exam also make noise. It's just so hard to please her. The theory goes : The more she restrict, the more I break free.

Yeah, a pity that I had to leave early though, didn't get to see both teams from C5 to battle it out with other teams. So yeah, headed home with a couple of friends.

Introducing, Justin!

Then we have Chi Wen and Jocelyn. Ha.

Ha. These are the only pictures that I have. Not really, I'm not going to post mine up. I didn't bring my camera cause it would be too bulky so all these are taken from phone.

People say that there are no such thing as free things in this world. However, we have Blogger, for you to create a blog for free and Photobucket, for you to upload your photos for free.

We tend to take both these things for granted. So, it breaks down or not up to standard or expecations now. Photobucket's a liar, and Blogger, well, okay lah, later say bad stuff my blog kena take down.

It's true lah, about Photobucket. It claims that photos up to 1MB would be automatically resized, while on the other hand, my photo's like only 200KB and it has to resize it. Crap lah, I have yet to use the rest of the 80% of the limit and it resizes. Cheapskate, next time at least change and let me know in advance.

Thinking back, Jasmine's $10 Lego brick was really a darn funny joke. I can't get over it cause no one wants to let it go. It's like a normal Lego brick, not those pirated China-made big ones. It's like normal lego, and it has a hole for a chain, and at the base of the brick there are magnets. The best part of all is that it cost her $10. No joke, what'smore, it was on OFFER, so the ORIGINAL price was $18.

This shows that girls are willing to spend money on stuff that they think it's cool, which guys think that it's dumb.

So what?

So what if you're a you're a CCA Leader.. That doesn't make you different or special, it just makes your life miserable.

I just hate it when people start coming to me and telling me that I'm not fit enough to be a CCA Leader cause of the things that I do. I didn't even do anything and I have people picking on me.

I don't know if the other leaders are enjoying their time being at the top, taking over management matters of their own respective CCA. Look, Computer Club is a very different CCA.

It's a SLACKING CCA.

And you know why I hate being the chairman? The post of Chairman doesn't make you special with any authority or power, the word Chairman, is another way of saying, SLAVE.

For every single thing in the CCA, the chairman has to do it. Even taking up things from the teacher's car, something not heavy, so light that any one can carry it, the chairman has to do it. Flash presentations, the chairman has to do it. I didn't even receive much help from anybody in doing the Computer Club Quiz, which would be supposingly held next Friday.

I soloed the whole thing myself. Others were given instructions to find questions for the quiz, but only a few did it and the number of questions they found each, did not even exceed 10. Look, instructions were given, do you think they would follow? Exercising authority is no use in this case. It's USELESS.

My stupid CCA teacher would always give me immediate task to do, like informing juniors about some info, and she always have to do it before I have my tests. Every SINGLE TIME. Taking today for an example, I had to run an errand for her, during recess and after school, just for the freaking sake of CCA, that I didn't have much time to go through my notes for my D&T paper.

What is this? Is this how the chairman is being used for?

Seriously, I'm getting tired of this shit.

All my seniors who were the Chairman before, beared with all the nonsense that the teacher in charge gave them. Up to a point where their results were affected and yet, they still have to carry on with CCA matters.

Is this the meaning of what a CCA Leader stand for? I don't know about you other leaders, but I'm sure majority of them would be enjoying being one.

So for freaking sake, stop coming to me and complaining about me being a CCA Leader.

I was not born to make Mr Singh nor my CCA teacher-in-charge happy.

I was born for His Purpose, not this purpose.

Stress.. From Exams

Next time when you have stress, think of someone who made a joke and got you laughing hard.

Let me introduce you all to a guy named, Yong Jie, dubbed YongG.

I can infer from the source above that YongG just arrived to meet us and he wanted to buy food it eat.

So he asked this, " Here got sell Tau Huay or not? "

Yes, he expected to find Tau Huay in a high-class food court, located in Raffles Shopping Centre where food cost at least $3. And he's looking for Tau Huay.

Next time if you find any shop or stall which sells Tau Huay, please contact YongG so he can make a compilation ; With that, he would be able to enjoy his Tau Huay at at an corner or street of Singapore.

Quote : I can't live without Tau Huay.

Locking.. Trolley?

This is going to be a very short post. Yah, exams lah.

I finally wrote my chinese composition, which is a miracle that I took the initiative and effort to do it. Sigh, all counted marks, can I don't do?

Okay, for heartlanders like me, what do you normally see at the railings of bus stop and so on? Bicycles being locked to them by a chain. This is however, legal ( think so ) cause cops do nothing about them. Their wheels don't get clamp just because they're parked and locked there.

Think about it, what else could be locked to those railings?..

I have a definite answer for you.

It's not everyday you get to see a trolley being chained to the railing at the bus stop. This bus stop is located near my block and was upgraded some times ago, so it's actually chained to a so called chair.

Probably the user wanted convenience ; hassle-free of bringing it out of the house, into the lift and out of the lift. Singaporeans are really pampered, this is refering to the aunties in 50s. My assumption would be at least 70% accurate. Nobody in the 40s would go to the market in the morning on a week day as they would be out to work, only left retired aunties. This is just pure laziness, don't tell me your unit doesn't even have the space for one trolley, what'smore it can be folded?

This reminds me of the incident which happened during the fireworks night, 8 August 2006. There was a large crowd at Marina Bay so we had to force our way through. There was this old lady who insulted teens, but at Terence being.. Can't remember what was it. Something like being inconsiderate..

Like you aunties are better off than us.. Some of you would say why so such mean stuff about them? Of course, there are aunties who are kind-hearted and understanding out there, but there must always be a few among them who are not, and I'm refering to them.

I will one day grow old and become an uncle, but at least I'll make sure I make an effort to ensure that I won't become one whom people would loathe, things like spitting on the bus. I will definitely not do that.

Soccer Craze

Today's a short day.

D&T was cool in the morning, with Miss Seah showing us Silver Soldering and blow moulding. There's still one more which I forgot the stupid names. There are so many terms and names that we have to learn for D&T and I've just realised today that I do not know much of my stuff. I have to study HARDER!.

I managed to get through my chinese teacher without handing in my zuo wen cause we are suppose to do on one of the topics given by the thursday chinese worksheet period. Due to TAF, I didn't go and hence didn't get the worksheets. But recently, most of us have been ponning TAF, waste of time. I rather do chinese cause the worksheets have value, they're worth marks!
( However, by saying this, it doesn't mean I've turned cheena. )

PE was fun, with the acrobatic guy with the moves. Especially the skipping part. Amalina found the instructor very cute and she just couldn't resist the charm especially when he did the skipping part. I don't really wanna be mean, but he's kind of gay. Probably because the industry and type of career he's in requires him to be that way. Well, I don't know.

After school was training for ACES Day at TKGS, with another instructor. There are two, including the gay one. This one, was much better. I mean, not as gay. Both of them are quite big sized, but that didn't stop them from being flexible. You know, they can do the body wave and the skipping part better than most girls! Ahh, don't ever look down on them. You'd be surprised when you see them do.

Talking about girls in TKGS.. If you were to observe carefully, not really, it's very obvious. You would see a bunch of girls playing soccer at TKGS field during recess. This led me thinking : Is it because of the World Cup that brought the craze to a girls' school? We even saw them playing a small grass patch iin the centre of the classroom blocks and one girl could even kick the ball damn high. Woah, TKSS girls could be refered as gentle and cute ( changed due to overwhelming response from Xiao Xuan) while they can be refered as wild and crazy.

Note : Ahhh, I'll update the National Post another day. The Picture Uploading Tool of Blogger is screwed up and I'm lazy to use the html code. If I use that I will have to resize my pictures again. Waste of time, so I'll just wait for Blogger to go through the scheduled maintenance.

Revealing Secrets (cont'd)

Okay, so here's the post that I owe you people.

Note : The pictures that would be posted in this post are not the actual size. Photobucket has resized my pictures to more than 50% smaller. I will send out e-mails with the pictures of the actual size.

So today's the National Day celebration in TK. 3C did't do anything for the bazaar due to some complications which we were told only quite last minute. So most of us lazed around, doing nth while some of us were at the assembly plaza to look at the banner design competition.

This is so artistic.

I didn't know who came out with the design but it sure rocks!

Everyone's hard at work trying to complete it.

Just look at DM's face. What was that facial expression suppose to mean?

DM was one of the few judges for the banner design competition, yeah. So that explains why she kept going around looking at the banners and asking for the explaination of what were the things being drawn symbolise and signify.

My attention was then caught by a handsome young man named Amirul as he sat by the pathway eating Nasi Lemak. So I decided to snap a picture of him.

Btw, he was looking at Cherie then.

Yeah, so and the competition ended off by tying it up on the railing of the 2nd floor bridge to the Technical Block for the judges to make their decision.

3C's Banner

I just love it the more I see it. Ha. Yeah, so after that I went home for a bath and then out again, for the 3C dinner.

Birthday Girl was Jasmine, well, not really birthday. It was a few hours early. And we met up at City Hall Mrt Stn. And as usual, the girls were late. I wonder if it's actually a genetic information that runs down from one female to another that prevents them from arriving early or on time based on the meeting time. But anyway, I used to waiting for girls cause this isn't the first time.

Met up and went to Raffles City Food Court where the food is expensive although it's still a foodcourt. They should probably name it " Middle-Class KopiTiam ".

Jasmine, was however, camera-shy then and most of us wanted to snap a pic of the birthday girl. She fought the battle, but lost. Xiao Xuan managed to snap a frontal shot while Lenny, using my camera, caught this : [Picture would be uploaded soon]

Update: I can only do this post until this far as Blogger still has not fixed its problem and now Photobucket is slow and laggy.

Revealing secrets..

Today's the national day celebration as well as a 3C outing in the night to watch the fireworks.

I shall do this post in a summary of the whole day and go in detail some time later, probably tmr or thursday.

Pictures will be up by thursday, hopefully.

This year's National Day celebration cum Arts Fest cum Bazaar was totally dumb as bazaar was only 1 and a half hour's long. Think about it, how much money can you earn in that short period of time? The snacks stall and the drink stall was also open at that time, so definitely there's competition. I went for the drinks stall instead.

3C won the banner design! All thanks to those participated and those who helped out. =)

Met up with the 3C people at City Hall to have dinner at a food court first, before going down to Marina Bay to watch the fireworks. One the whole it was great, considering the fact that I was able to snap a couple of reasonable and clear pictures despite the crowd and the lightings.

We had time to kill so played the guessing the number cum Truth or Dare game. Yeah, so through that game all of us managed to find out about stuff of individuals who kena.

Seem impossible to go home after the whole thing. Everyone's pushing and squeezing their way through. But we managed to do so in the end with the help of the security guard who opened a staircase leading to the outside of the citylink so that we would be able to walk straight to City Hall Mrt Stn without having to go through the crowd underground.

So yeah, this is the brief of the very brief that it can go.

It went black for a moment..

They come and go..

There are people out there : Some love you, Some hate you. Some love having you around, while some detests the sight of you.

I can't change the way you think or the mindset that you have. It's your life that you live by. It's meaningless for me to say any thing else. All I can say is that I respect your decision and if this is the way you want things to be, it's my pleasure to play along.

This is just random by the way. [ what I have said above ]

From The Inside Out
A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
I'm caught in Your grace

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out

Impactful song, powerful lyrics.

" Your light will shine when all else fades " : His light has shone into my life so bright, that now I never see any darkness in my life.

You are the best decision I've ever made in my life.

I have a reason to live for, a cause to die for.
