the LEAPS system for the cca points is just so retarded.

i don't know if your cca teachers have explained all these to you but this was what me retarded teacher told me :

1) for every year of competition that you join, you get 1 pt. regardless of how many competitions you join per year, you still get 1 pt. but if you win like gold, silver or bronze, that's another story. if you win either of those 3 there will be added pts for that.

2) the teacher has the authority of how many pts she want to give you. so if you have alot of trouble with you, she can just not give you the 4 pts that you should have for membership in the cca for 4 years. she can just fail you without a valid reason.

3) for ccas like computer club, they don't provide you for CIP hours. so no choice, you have to find activities that give you CIP hours. this is one of the most retarded pt. if not wrong, the minimum requirement to get pts for cca through CIP hours is to clock in a minimum of 120 hours. that's crazy. only people from ccas like scouts can do that.

4) leadership matters : only the person with the highest post will get his pts. chairman : 5 cca pts. i'm so gonna kill my teacher for this one. worked so hard to earn a position in the commitee and this is what i get. i'm not sure about other ccas. but i think most clubs and societies will be affected. so other post like treasurer for level rep for that cca, you don't get the pts. for that. only the chairman will.

5) the highest grade that a person from a club or from society will get is around a B4. lucky ones will get above that. this is so retarded. what's the point of being committed to something wholeheartedly, putting your studies at stake and at the end of the day you don't get rewarded, not as in money. but you don't even acheive anything at the end of the day.

i sacrificed so much of my time for the last 2 years over the robotics thing, even have to go to the extend of skipping tuition because of that. and in the end i actually failed my maths during CT2 of the streaming year, something that i've nvr done before in my entire schooling life. and at the end of the day, this is what i get.

regarding to pt 4: the teacher wants the sec 3s to organise an inter-class computer quiz. she even emphasized on taking the initiative. so normally this kind of thing, the teacher would straightaway look for the commitee members.

and what? how to expect the other people with exception of the chairman, to be cooperative? yes, they will given pts for helping out in a so called " school event ", but at the end of the 4th year, will they be given extra pts for the post that they hold in the commitee? now, even the chairman, has no choice but to be the teacher's pet and listen to her instructions because she has the authority and right not to give him the cca pts that he deserve.

and the most important part is that, the current batch of sec 1s and 2s, together with the next batch of sec 1s, will be doing a joint-project with temesak poly over some stupid programme that will last 3 years. they will be taught skills that we and our seniors didn't learn throughout our entire life in the cca. and they will get to earn more pts than us more easily. what kind of retarded and stupid decision is that? it's not being fair to us.

computer club is a cca of lies. it's not that the members lie, it's the teachers and trainers who lie. i might be a member, but this is the truth. i speak for the truth.

in the brochure of the cca recruitment, they mentioned that programs like C++, Frontpage, Java will be taught. but now i've been a member for the 3rd year, and i've yet to be taught either one of them. LIES. i helped out in doing flash and posters for the cca recritment in the year 2005 and his year. and each time the teacher would force us to state as these programs that were not even being taught, just to attract people to join. i mean, what's the point? a cca like computer club should be kept small, what do you get at the end of the day by printing lies on a piece of paper and distribute out to parents and students?

one thing that i'm proud to say is i've equiped my skills by learning on my own. none of them was through computer club training. i've learnt a lot through mr yang in sec 1, but ever since mdm varsha took over because he went overseas to california i think, to further his studies in IT, i've learnt nth at all. we even had to pay for the things that we learn in sec 2 through IPW IT training. that's the only time when it was a real lesson then.

i seriously don't understand what the hell is MOE doing right now. singapore's education system is just so retarded. why create this stupid system when non-ug people do not benefit from it? man, i'm so gonna study hard and not count on cca. at most i will only get 1 pt deducted from L1R5.

memories in the old wallet

i just cleared my wallet last night. haa. i've been using it since P5. so i could find some things that i've kept inside since then. haa. things like :

haa. i've kept this Popular card inside my waller for so long that it actually tore without my tearing it. it just tore while inside my wallet.

haa. look at the date of exp: 31/04/2004

Happy Happy Carnival coupon. haa. i only redeemed the free bottle of water. if i'm not wrong this coupon is for the bread. i don't know why i kept it.

still remember this macdonald coupon?. they actually distributed this in the year 2004. i got that when i went to the Science Centre for robotics training. i got it from the macs there. i didn't use it though. i wasn't a fan of mac's burgers then.

i also found a piece of paper written by a pri sch friend of mine. she wrote her e-mail down on that piece of paper cause i wanted to send an e-card to her e-mail for her brithday. the paper had already turned brown. haa. when i have the time to scan it then i'll post it up here.

haa. other things are like :

the zip for the coin compartment is already spoilt. haa. finally after more than 4 years.

it had already rusted.

haa. i've already changed my wallet but i'm keeping this with me throughout my whole life. think what most people will do is that they would throw away their spoilt wallet, ain't it?

haa. okay. today's test was like.. everyone was saying that mr tan kee hoe is a sadist and mr tchen beng huat is a murderer. haa. chemistry is a retarded subject. next time when your teacher says that the test is on this particular chapter, make sure you learn the other chapters that is somehow linked or related to it. nvr trust the words of your teacher.

haa. and ohyah, miss wang's hair is like.. got some explosion or smth. like as though she went to this salon called, " The Dynamite " and then she got her hair like that. i can't stop laughing when i first saw it, which was in the auditorium during A Maths lecture. i even had to take my notebook and cover a side of my face to make sure i don't get a view of her or i'll start laughing again. but then today, not that funny already. cause i laughed too much about it yesterday. but seriously, she doens't look good in that hair. she doesn't look good in the first place, so yeah, makes no difference.

actually there is a difference, it's that it became from bad to worse. haa.

don't you agree that some things in our lives had left a scar in our heart and mind? it's like you can't forget? haa. when people mention scars in this kind of situation, normally it's just describing in a way that it's etched deeply in their hearts, but not a real scar. but i have a real one, not in my heart, but on my feet.

check this out :

what a nice shape for a scar. haa.

haa. i don't know why nowadays i just love to keep touching it. normally scars are rough. but this one is smooth. my finger could just easily slid across from one end to the other. seriously, i don't want that to heal in a way or another.

now the problem that i have is that i don't have any pictures to upload. a person who has the right tools, but just don't have the time and no inspirations on what to do. ain't that sad?

couple of things i have actually got to know only after so long, which is about the camp. sorry that i've to talk about guo xi again. haa. got to know this from nicholas and this is it: he's actually on toilet duty, whose job is to control toilet traffic for guys who were bathing. so as leaders know, there were many people waiting to bathe so there's only limited amt. of time for each person to bathe. so what guo xi did was he gave each of them 2 minutes, but even before a minute has passed, he went " YOU HAVE 1 MUNUTE LEFT !"

haa. some locked toilet doors can be opened from the outside by actually using the coin or the card to unlock it. so yeah, guo xi used a card to open the door of those who took more than 30 seconds and chased those out. haa. some of them didn't even manage to put soap on themselves and some of them were actually naked. haa. damn funny.

he also switched off and on the lights more than 5 times while the sec 2 guys were bathing. haa. the best part was that, he gave the sec 2s 30 secs to bathe, he took 30 minutes to bathe. what a contrast! haa

sometimes girls just have the advantage over guys. not in physical way or accademic way. this is how i illustrate things. take this situation for an example :

Situation 1:
There are two girls and one of them tells another friend that they are going somewhere.

Girl: I'm going on a date with my girlfriend.
now, take note: in this situation, nobody will assume anything. NOBODY. when a girl says that, the natural instinct is to think that she's a lesbian. but in this generation and present society, it's actually okay and no one will draw any conclusion to whether it's a same sex attraction.

but what happens when the person is now a guy?

Situation 2:
There are two guys and one of them tells another friend that they are going shopping.

Guy: I'm going shopping with my boyfriend.

now, take note: in this situation, everybody, well, MOST will assume that something's wrong. everybody will then assume that that guy is a gay. see?. this is the problem.

computer club is just getting more boring as each week passes. haa. now i'm really reflecting whether i made the right choice. haa.

if i didn't join computer club, i won't have the chance to go for the leadership camp and the sec 2 cohort camp. ahh, that is the first thing that will come into my mind. but on the other hand, now computer club is like, you get to do your own stuff..

but the prob is that the computers are slow. can't even play any games. the computers are like 256MB RAM and the graphics card is nvdia geforce MX 440. even if you have games like battlefield 2, you can't even play on the desktop there. haa.

haa. so now i'm blogging, updating since someone has asked me to do so. on my tagboard somemore. haa. squeezing time.

yeah, so today for CE had archery. starting of the lesson had sec 1 and 2s playing soccer and captain's ball in the field. then everyone was like, " wahh, they want to die is it? " haa. cause in archery, it happened many times then when the arrow doesn't hit the target board, it will either hit the ground near or very far. when i say very far i mean it, from one end of the field shoot till the other end. like from one goalpost to the other. haa. they were the so called " moving targets" man, i could have shot some of them down. esp one guy from 2A. wonder where was misahiro then. man, what a waste.

it was totally awesome. shot more than 14+ arrows. i was using Coach Letchu's personal bow: known for being the most difficult bow to use amongst those that we provided. so terence, yong jie and me were in the same group, as usual. haa. the 3 of us are the ones using his bow most of the time.

so each person has about more than 12 arrows to shoot, taking turns. shooting 6 arrows each time, own time, own target.

quite a remarkable score.. i had shot on bull's eye.. none of my arrows went off target. this applied for terence and yong jie as well. just that yong jie shot the bull's eye twice.

TWICE IN A ROW.

haa. archery's cool. other groups were like using the citre pin, something similar to like a crosshair in FPS gaming for aiming, while ours didn't have a citre pin for aiming. so we had to use our eye to aim and for judgement.

using the Hunter's Technique. haa. the best part was that Coach Letchu was beside me, coaching me to pull the string up to the technique's exact spot of where the index finger should be. and i released, bull's eye.

then Coach Letchu was like, " See? "

and i was like smiling non-stop. haa.

didn't regret taking archery though. imagine if i were to take flower arrangement. haa. every flower that i handle will die in my hands. haa. i'm too rough for something so gentle like flower arrangement.

I WANNA TAKE UP ARCHERY!. haa. hope it can be counted as a outside CCA. but apparantly my mum thinks that archery is something extra and it is of no help in my future. but i'll show her that it will make a difference in my future. haa.

i'm gonna buy a bow and an arrow to shoot her!. muhahaha. no larrh, i not so evil.

the bow and the arrow is a weapon. it kills. [ this is part of the theory ]

Coach Letchu is someone whom i will always look up to and respect. He's the best coach that has ever taught me.

moustache shaved.

ahhh. finally, after months and months of people telling me the same thing, i finally got it done. just last night. after the thing was off, i looked kind of clean and refreshed.

i shaved my beard and moustache.

haa. i went through great lengths though. since last year, i left it growing and growing. i didn't shave was because i even had PO (parental objection) on this kind of thing. to be more specific, MO (mum's objection).

what my mum objected was that she didn't want me to shave, or else i'll have to start shaving every other day. and that after everytime you shave, it's gonna grow rougher. this was her reason.. but it doesn't make sense right?. i mean, look, i'm the one shaving.. not you?.

sometimes i actually lie to get my own personal things done, to hide and keep it from my mum. but i somehow didn't expect that i even had to lie during my own stages of puberty. this is what i mean:

Me: " Mummy, DM caught me today, cause I didn't shave my moustache and beard. "
[DM didn't catch me at all. suprisingly, none of the teachers did. i was made to stand at the back because of vice-chairman post and where all the teachers were, none of them approached me about my moustache and beard ]

My Mum : " You tell your DM to talk to me. Give her my no. or e-mail. I'll speak to her personally ".

and i was like " HUH?! =.=??? "

see how controlling and crazy my mum is and to what extent she can go. she even has to take control of whether i have to shave or not. ridiculous.

ahhh. and i almost forgot, the I Not Stupid 2 movie. she went to watch and she cried.
[ a miracle ]

but what happens at the end of the day?. she didn't change a single bit. haa.

mun's are totally weird and crazy. i'm not sure about yours but all i know is that mine is.

any comments on this one?.

just to share a few things, of what people said to me before i shaved.

Rachel: Go and shave lah! you look like eddie guerrero!

Eugene: Do you know that you look better if you shave?

i've just realised how many comedy shows are there on youtube.

MANY

haa. i was just watching a comedy show on youtube 2 days ago and it was this guy named Zach Galifianakis. some parts of it was funny. haa. examples like:

Zach: I called the agency once to get a job and they were like, " Do you have any phone skills? " And I was like, " I called you, didn't I ? "

Zach: I also dream that the Spanish Channels will have English subtitles, so I can finally figure out what I have been laughing at this whole time.

haa. this are the two lines taken out from the video. you should watch.

the last part where there was an acapella. the main singer looked like the ang moh version of sara. haa. the more you should watch.

yeah. okae. so about 15 mins ago, i had this insurance guy pressing my doorbell. damn, i thought it was my mother so i closed all my internet windows.

anyway, i was saying, he came with a woman and this was the conversation :

Woman: Hi, we're from an insurance company and we would like to conduct a survey. Hope we don't take much of your time.
Me: Oh, okay. sure.
Woman: Does you family members buy any insurance?
Me: I'm not sure ( i always say this cause if i say yes, they will ask more in detail )
Guy: Are your parents at home?
Me: No, they are not home yet.
Guy: oh. okay. what time do they normally return back from work? Are they working late?
Me: Yeah, they're working late. Timing, I'm not too sure. It depends.
Guy: Are you still schooling? JC? Poly?
Me: Secondary school.
Guy: Oh, which school are you from?
Me: TK.
Guy: TK? Are you from the band? I'm also from that school also. Back in 1998, TK was famous for its band?
Me: I'm not from band.
Guy: Oh, why? I thought last time the principal put band as its focus and forced people to join.
Me: Not my type. This time only the choir has the main focus. They hold auditions for the sec 1s when they join TK.
Guy: Oh, cause I'm also from the band. Are you going for to support them for the competition this year?
Me: Yeah, I think so. that I have to leave to the school to decide. Most likely it's compulsory. This year is the outdoor one.
Guy: Oh, here's my name card. My name is Fabian and maybe we can meet up some time, when you're an adult.
Me: Oh, okay, nice to meet you.
Guy: Okay, thanks for your time and have a nice day.

yeah. so that was it. i made a new friend today. a stranger who press my doorbell and approached me for an insurance survey. what'smore he's an ex-TK. but what i found interesting was this..

Do i look as though i'm from JC or Poly?. seriously, i don't think my body build qualify the requirement of what you see JC or Poly students walking on the street. it's really suprising and interesting that he actually took me as a JC or Poly student. wahh. i didn't know that i can skip O lvls.

so i thought if i look like one.. i might be able to escape the clutches of the stupid NC16 thing going in S'pore. can't even watch shows like Fearless by Jet Li. but too bad they will ask for your IC when you purchase the tickets. if not i have the chance to be able to get away with it. haa

Can you hear the beating inside my chest?
Beating in hope of feeling your gentle caress
Beating helplessly to feel your warm gentle embrace
Forever dying to touch your beautiful face

Can you hear the whisper in the wind?
Calling like an echo trapped hopelessly within
Softly calling your name again and again
Whispering your name, hopelessly, in vain

Can you hear the prayers said in the night?
In the darkness flies hope to hold you tight
The still of the night carries believing words
Floating in the darkness hoping to be heard

Can you hear the wish made on a falling star?
Searching to find you wherever you are
A star gave it's life blazing across the sky
Begging to come true so the wish will not die

Can you hear my heart calling out to you?
Crying out in anguish to love you so true
Prayers and wishes should not die in vain
Can you hear my heart calling your name?
vous savez combien j'ai besoin de vous ?.

1) while returning to us work, she started grumbling and about how lousy our work was.
2) scolded aw for handing up work FAST. O.o wth?
3) scolded nat for handing late homework. big deal right? in the end also still han up. whats the big huha?
4) scolded this girl till cry.
5) scolded the girl's friend (XY), for merely stating her honest opnion. -.-
6) scolded bernard for looking at her. okay.. WTH???? she was like "ni wei she me kan wo?" O.o DIAO. okay, this one is really too much. poor bernard.
7) scolded me for errr. i also don't know. she just went like "ni you wen ti mah?" and i was like HUH???????? and then she ranted and raved, and finally turn her back towards me and muttered "gui hai zi" HAHA! excuse me? ok, that means child of a ghost. LOL. i was like -.-/o.O. HUH??????? HAHA. omg, then i started laughing. crazy woman. i didn't even do anything to her.

9) scolded to herself those who went for camp, for not handing up homework before going to camp. o.O RIGHT.
10) scolded tania and me for taking down notes behind the piece of paper instead of foolscape. hello? we're just trying to save the trees can? TSK.
11) scolded another girl, (yj) and laowang said to the girl that she's invisible in her eyes. whatever man.
12) she finally ended her torture by pilling us up homework. -.-psycho? omg, am i going to be like her when i reach menopause? HA! look what age can do to a woman.
ha! "

haa. this was taken from sophia's blog. tht was what actually happened on friday during chinese lesson when i was at the camp. i took very great notice to pt. 9. haa. all leaders were suppose to hand in a letter writing - a complaint, to her on thursday morning before we had to leave for our camp. but she didn't tell us to do so. so none of us actually took note and did that. so she ended up scolding herself. and i would like to thank sue-ann, with the bottom of my heart, fo helping taking down notes for my preference. =)

the camp wasn't fun at all. being students really suck at the point where you have to lead a bunch of not-cooperating students. but i had fun with the trainers. haa

i've missed important lessons like physics and chemistry, things like waves and ironic bonding. all missed. then i have a pile of hmw waiting for me to do.

JUST WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE SEC 2s THIS YEAR?.

taking over 2A is like living in hell. you have people who doesn't want to listen to instructions, take their own sweet time to get the job done. i have to yell at them for more than 4 times just to get 20 of them to form a circle. is forming a circle really that difficult to do?.

all leaders have lost their voices, most of them. on the other hand, during the night of the debrief with the leaders and the students alone, some of them claim that they have lost their voices as well. like, come on larrh, what have you all done compared to the leaders?. your class is not united at all. just walking in 2 straight rows from one place to another, 40 people can actually split themselves into more than 5 lil groups, stroll and walk.

this batch of people is worse than the Wellington Primary. we leaders get to bathe only at around 1 plus in the morning and sleep around 4, waking up at 6. while you pathetic sec 2 students bathe around 10 plus nearing 11, sleep at 12 plus, and wake up at 7. and you are still complaining that you do not have enough time to sleep.

next we have the next bunch of people : the inconsiderate ones. last year for the Sec 2' 05 cohort camp, we serve food to our own cohort. for this year, we leaders have to serve food for you students of sec 2. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?. we might as well be called as slaves rather than leaders. people going for 2nd serving and resulted in leaders having not enough food. eating on vegatables for dinner.

this is the worst camp i've ever attended although i've not attended many. having the incorrect attitude towards the camp, and we leaders have to suffer along with you. give me a break larrh.

thought from this camp i can actually make new friends from the cohort. but it was actually totally impossible cause once if i were to become friendly with them, they climb over your head. teamed up with Guo Xi, Wei Ru and Zackery. haa. all leaders to adopt the " Guo Xi " method. he actually pumped students from 2A although he's not from a ug cca. haa

activities like the Mum's not cooking a.k.a outdoor cooking. see one lil bug all scream like mad. they just do not know how fortunate they were. sleeping in tennis courts. we had to sleep on wooden planks placed on muddy floor and whole body covered with mud during the Nature Ramble last year. i bet that if the camp were to be at Sarimbun again, all of them would have fainted right on the spot of arrival.

" The Pampered and Take-Things-For-Granted Generation " - that's what i call them. complain about food quality and sleeping conditions. stand under the sun for only a few seconds then start complaining. complained about showering time. we leaders could bathe less than 2 minutes. they were given more than that and they were already complaining as if they weren't given time to shower at all.

the toilets were like so high-class that there was actually air-con and sofa inside. similar to those of a country club. even with that, they could actually complain. it's like WTH?. those conditions of the toilet were a thousand times better than those in Sarimbun and they could actually make a fuss of what they had.

but after all, some people in the class that i took charge have indeed done a great job despite the fact that the class weren't really united in my point of view. people like syakir and richny are being identified as potential leaders. haa. so cangratulations to them if they get selected to take charge of next year's cohort camp. i really don't know what would the condition of the camp be like and the condition of the sec 2s next year.

i totally agree to terence's statement to a large extent : The leaders' spirit totally overwhelmed the pathetic spirit of the sec 2s.

this year sec 3 leaders, i should say we have been a very united batch of leaders. One for All, All for One. haa. the last night of the camp was fun. slept in the kiddies room which had air-con and all of us had a good time laughing before sleeping. singing to the theme song of Pokemon, and when waking up, we have the Doremon song played. haa. it was damn funny i'm actually laughing now when i'm thinking of it.

still thinking back of what happened during the leadership camp. haa. damn fun. i bathed with a person whom i have a very strong frienship with, capsizing the kayak with someone whom i did not expect to be able to expirience that kind of moment with, working with people whom i have built a strong foundation of friendship. Spending a total of 5D3N with all the leaders, including trainers.

Life could be fulfilling and meaningful, but on the other hand it could be empty and lost at times. but for me, the 2 camps are definitely a fulfilling and meaningful one. with memories to be kept close to my heart, or should i say kept eternally in my heart, and never be forgetten as it's already part of my brain.

so what if we leaders are packed with more hmw than the others, need to rush in order to catch up with we have missed during lessons and we are tired?.

this is a scene of us in the kiddies room. before sleeping.

the kiddies merry-go-round

amirul sleeping. he didn't know that i took his pic. haa.

last but not least, introducing to you guys : Guo Xi.

haa. i wanna say a couple of things before i leave for the cohort camp tmr till saturday.

1) i wanna blame mr singh for making the cohort camp at the wrong date. cause i'm gonna miss my S.O.W test and revision. which means that if i want to be a soundman, i have to go through the whole S.O.W semester again. which makes me no different than a new learner in S.O.W.

mr singh can be counted lucky that i've converted to a christian or else he would not be able to see the sun rise the next day. he would have been boxed up and being stamped : " Certified " already.

2) i hate going for this camp because i'll miss lessons, which means i will have to catch up on my own and have to go back to sch for extra lessons during the holidays.

3) D&T IPW is so fun!. you guys should have taken D&T.

4) and if i come back from camp tanner than what i am now, it isn't my fault. i want an equal tanning.

5) i'm so gonna kill any sec 2 who makes noise in the middle of the morning. let's say 1, 2 plus. and mark my words. I WILL.

6) the camp t-shirt that we cca leaders have is like.. nvm. mr singh still isn't creative enough to come up with a new motto. he used the same one as last year. Live, Lead, Learn. i got a free t-shirt anyway. so might as well think positively about it.

last but not least.. i wanna " THANK " mr singh for giving me and opportunity to be able to go for the camp that i had to MISS my S.O.W test and revision. he has caused inconveniences to me and had DASHED my HOPES of becoming a soundman in the sound ministry by the end of this semester.

Yours Sincerely,
the guy who is so pissed at Singh right now,
roderick.

THANK YOU.

so right now i'm officially back home from a 2D1N camp. sec 3 leadership camp.

i don't have much energy to type about it now cause all the 62 leaders present for the camp were deprived of their sleep due to some inconsiderate and immature p5 students from willington primary. they made noise from 1 plus in the morning for quite a while and started a din from 3 plus all the way till 6 plus.

i slept only like less than 2 hours?!. what'smore we had kayaking, rafting, low-ropes and so on activities that i can't help but sleep during lunch-time.

know what those kids were doing up so early?. they wanted to watch the freaking sun-rise which only occurs around 6 plus nearing 7. THEY WERE 4 FREAKING HOURS EARLY!. and what'smore they could play UNNO and Pokemon cards making a din that everyone came out of their tents around 3 plus to ask them to shut up.

i will write more about that in detail. but damn those kids!. =)

the whole camp was totally fun. brought back memories and moments of the camp with me back home. plus a wound on my leg. haa.

KAYAKING ROCKS! =)
